Millie's Banana and Grasmere Gingerbread® Crumbs Tea Loaf


150g plain flour

100g Grasmere Gingerbread® Crumbs

1 tsp bicarbonate of soda

1 tsp ginger

½ tsp salt

115g butter

150g sugar

1 egg

115g natural yoghurt

2 very ripe bananas


  1. Mix all ingredients in bowl and transfer the mixture into a 2 lb loaf tin.
  2. Bake on middle shelf of oven, gas mark 4/180° for one hour or until clean when skewered.
  3. Remove from tin and cool on wire tray.


Storage tip

When cool, wrap loaf in foil and store in freezer for a few days. To serve, defrost until room temperature. Freezing makes the loaf extra moist.
