Sales and Marketing Manager

Days of Work:

Monday to Friday, includes social media activity on a 7-day basis.
Some weekend and evening work involved depending on activity.

Hours of Work: 
9.00am – 5.30pm, 1 hour for lunch

Rate of Pay:
£22,000 – £25,000 per annum depending on experience

Holidays:
Statutory allowance

Main Purpose of Job:
To increase sales and business profile through a wide variant of sales and marketing activity. To interact with targeted virtual communities and networks’ users to achieve superior customer engagement, website traffic and revenue. Maintain and enhance the photography and media library.

Ultimately responsible to:
The Directors
Working closely with:
Mail Order & Stock Manager, Sales Administrator, Manager
Liaison with: 
All members of staff

External Liaison:
Over and above customers, website developers, designers and printers, PR agent and other marketing associates and organisations.

Main tasks of the job:          

  • Build, execute social media strategy through platforms and management of all applications
  • Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and engagement.
  • CRM; management of all company databases and utilisation of such as part of the marketing activity.
  • The execution of regular e-shots.
  • Analyse the website data and undertake appropriate action where necessary.
  • Print; stock control, co-ordination of marketing print and distribution, input to new print and proof reading, photography co-ordination.
  • Event Management: research, bookings, planning and attendance of events.
  • The development of new customers i.e. corporate, groups, schools and overseas markets.
  • Organisation and attendance of talks and promos, either trade, press or public.
  • The management and maintenance of media library; photography, film, recordings and press archive.
  • Customer liaison through all mediums.
  • Any other duties as instructed by a Director

 Person Specification:           
The role requires a confident, driven individual who is highly organised and can communicate at all levels. The person should be able to work independently but also as part of a team, relating to the business as a whole. A commercially-minded person who can be both technical and creative, attention to detail is paramount. Must be able to demonstrate experience in sales and marketing in tourism and/or food-related business.

Shop Assistant

Days of work:
5 days per week one of which will be a weekend day. Part-time available.

Hours of Work:
9.00 am to 5.30pm, 1 hour for lunch.

Length of Contract:
Permanent, immediate start, where possible.

Rate of Pay:
£8.50 per hour, plus 50p per hour bonus on hours worked payable after 6 month completion periods. £9.00 per hour, plus 50 per hour bonus on hours worked payable after 6 month completion periods for Japanese or Chinese speaking

Main Purpose of Job:
To work as part of a small team in a specialist bakery shop/attraction. Providing final presentation of products through packaging, and offering first class customer service through knowledge and communication to a wide range of international customers.  Occasional work at ‘pop-up’ shops and events.

Ultimately responsible to:
The Managers

Liaison with:
All members of staff

Main tasks of the job:

  • Preparation of stock
  • Packaging of stock and wrapping product
  • Customer Care
  • Advising and informing
  • Using Electronic Point of Sale
  • Taking Orders
  • Preparing work areas and cleaning work areas
  • Shop housekeeping
  • Stock control – re-stocking and stock rotation
  • Presentation of stock
  • Delivery of group talks to visiting groups
  • The flexibility to work at shows as and when required

Requirements:
Driver, car parking provided.

Provision:
Full training given where necessary. Uniform provided and must be worn to our Code of Practice.

General Assistant

Days of work:
Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat (Tues & Sun days off)

Length of contract:
Seasonal or Permanent

Hours of work:
8 am to 4.30pm (1 hour lunch) 37.5 hours per week.

Rate of pay:
£9 per hour

Main purpose of job:
To work as part of a small team in a specialist bakery assisting in production of Gingerbread and kitchen operation and to work in the shop providing final presentation of products through packaging, and offering first class customer service through knowledge and communication to a wide range of international customers.

Ultimately responsible to:
The Directors & Manager
Liaison with:
All members of staff

Main tasks of the job:

Bakery:
Product preparation, baking, packaging, cleaning of work areas, off-loading of deliveries.
Shop:
Stock prep, customer service; advising and informing, using
electronic point of sale, taking orders, preparing
work areas and cleaning, shop housekeeping, stock control; re- stocking and stock rotation, presentation of stock.

Suitable candidate:

  • Reliable
  • Flexible
  • Can work as part of a small team in a limited environment
  • Presentable for working in a food production environment
  • Can deliver first class customer service
  • Experience not necessary as full training can be given

Provision:
Full training where necessary
Uniform and laundered – must be worn to company’s code of practice
Car parking
