The world has altered so much since Victorian cook Sarah Nelson invented Grasmere Gingerbread® in 1854 but reassuringly her unique spicy-sweet cross between a biscuit and cake has never changed; it is still as mouth-watering, crispy-chewy, and incredibly moreish as it ever was. It is still ONLY available at the original Grasmere Gingerbread Shop, our new second shop in Hawkshead, online and at many events throughout the country.
