Days of work:                                    5 days (including a Sat or Sun) other days TBC

Hours of work:                                 9 am to 5.30pm* (1-hour lunch)

*From the first Monday in November until the first Monday in January the shop will close at 5pm and therefore half an hour less to be worked each day. From the first Monday in January until the week preceding February Half Term (wherever that may fall) the shop will close at 4:30pm and therefore one hour less to be worked each day.

 

Rate of pay:                                       Up to £10.50 an hour (age 23 and over)      

(£10 an hour, plus 50p per hour bonus on hours worked, paid upon successful completion of specified time period being end of December of each year).

Length of Contract:                         Permanent after probationary period

 

Main Purpose of the job: To work as part of a small team in a specialist bakery assisting in production of Gingerbread and kitchen operation and providing final presentation of products through packaging.

Main tasks of the job: Product preparation, baking, packaging, cleaning of work areas, quality control, off-loading of deliveries.

 

Relationships -

Ultimately responsible to: The Directors

Reporting to: Bakery Manager

Liaison with: All members of staff

 

Suitable Candidate:

  • Reliable and flexible.
  • Can work as part of a small team in a limited and fast paced environment.
  • Presentable for working in a food production environment and adhere to such legislation.
  • Can deliver first class customer satisfaction through quality performance.
  • Experience not necessary as full training can be given for the right candidate.

Days &hours of work:
Sunday (anytime between 7am – 4pm) Approx. 4-5 hours rising to 7-8.

Length of Contract:
Annual renewable with a probationary period

Rate of Pay:
£12.00 per hour

Main Purpose of Job:
To have the ability to clean independently to a high standard, within a small family business in various office and operational buildings.

Relationships -

Ultimately responsible to:
Bakery Manager

Main tasks of the Job:
To provide a high standard of cleaning with care and attention adhering to our Covid policy.

Suitable Candidate:

  • Reliable

  • Able to work independently.
  • Presentable for working in a food production environment.

Main tasks of the job:

Bakery: Product preparation, baking, packaging, cleaning of work areas, quality control, off-loading of deliveries.

Shop: Stock prep, customer service; advising and informing, using electronic point of sale, taking orders, preparing work areas and cleaning, shop housekeeping, stock control; re- stocking and stock rotation, presentation of stock. Flexibility to work at shows as and when required.

Main Purpose of the job: To work as part of a small team in a specialist bakery shop/attraction. Providing final presentation of products through packaging and offering first class customer service through knowledge and communication to a wide range of international customers. Very occasional work at ‘pop-up’ shops and events. Our new shop refurbishment has created an even more covid secure working environment.

Main tasks of the job:

  • Preparation of stock
  • Packaging of stock and wrapping product
  • Customer Care
  • Advising and informing
  • Using Electronic Point of Sale
  • Taking Orders
  • Preparing work areas and cleaning work areas
  • Shop housekeeping
  • Stock control – re-stocking and stock rotation
  • Presentation of stock
  • Delivery of group talks to visiting groups (in foreign language if applicable)
  • The flexibility to work at shows as and when required

Main Purpose of Job:
This is a rare opportunity to work creatively for one of Cumbria’s outstanding and multi award-winning specialist food and tourism ambassadors. The successful candidate will be expected to embrace both the company ethos and Grasmere Gingerbread® brand; to implement a sales, marketing and PR activity plan created by one of the business partners; to organically raise the business profile and increase sales; to manage everyday tasks, activities, projects and a small creative and dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about what they do for Grasmere Gingerbread®.

Reporting directly to:
The Directors and the Operations Manager

Ultimately responsible to:
The Directors

Liaison with:
All members of staff, in particular marketing and administration

Main tasks of the job: 

Take direction from a Director and then action;

Manage a small team of people, give direction, guidance and mentoring to achieve effective results within the constraints of the business and to delegate where necessary;

Undertake effective research and sourcing;

Plan and programme marketing, sales, event and PR activity;

Manage and monitor admin procedures required for sales and marketing activity, and special projects;

Communicate and co-ordinate all staff members to meet objectives and deadlines;

Analysis and report to Directors;

Press/Media content and activity;

Cover sales and marketing activity when other members of the team are unavailable.
