After the overwhelming response to my inaugural Joanne’s Journal - with many readers urging me to write more often about life behind-the-scenes at Grasmere Gingerbread® - the topic for the sequel flew off my fingertips.
If you are fascinated about our unique 171-year-old business - and love the fact that Grasmere Gingerbread® is still freshly baked each day of the year inside the kitchen of Victorian inventor Sarah Nelson’s original Church Cottage home (now The Grasmere Gingerbread Shop) - why not come and work for us in the heart of the beautiful English Lake District?
Over the last few months - due to growing demand (nationally and internationally) for Grasmere Gingerbread® - we have been building a new Marketing & Sales team.
They work in a traditional Lakeland building called Church Stile, directly across the road from The Grasmere Gingerbread Shop and St Oswald’s Church. It’s a lovely environment that even has its own private garden to sit and enjoy the sunshine and birdsong during your lunch break.
Whilst our new colleagues are busy and settling in well, we need a enthusiastic Sales Ambassador & Event Manager and dynamic Tourism Marketing & Heritage Manager to complete the team. Both jobs come with a warning - you can eat as much freshly baked Grasmere Gingerbread® as you want.
If you are seriously searching for a new career in a new town - and a free slice of Grasmere Gingerbread® if you get the song reference - or simply dream about working and living in this magnificent corner of England then please get in touch.
I am big believer in brushing off the cobwebs, fresh starts and new beginnings because life is a rollercoaster and you just gotta ride it (another free slice of Grasmere Gingerbread® if you get this song reference).
Many of us make a New Year resolution to get a new job or find a new position but by the end of January our resolve has wavered. If you have what it takes and think your name is on either of these jobs then within a few weeks you might be eating more Grasmere Gingerbread® than you ever thought possible.
Until next time
Joanne
