Grasmere Gingerbread® is in the running for the 2019 Cumbria Tourism Makers & Producers Award.
The new category recognises businesses whose locally-made products “create a unique and memorable experience that enhances Cumbria’s visitor offer”.
Joanne Hunter, 3rd generation co-owner of Grasmere Gingerbread®, was delighted to hear the business had been voted through to the final countdown stage (with the results announced in the summer). “We love welcoming visitors from the UK and the rest of the world to our shop in Grasmere,” she said. “We get such lovely feedback from people and we are pleased to be able to contribute to tourism and the wider Cumbrian economy.”
