‘Bluebells on the Window Sill’ Greetings Card
£2.50
In front of an open window against an enchanting woodland carpet of bluebells, a glass vase of our most evocative late spring flowers - colloquially known as ‘fairy thimbles’ - delights the eye. Mythologically connected to the youth Endymion who was lulled into eternal sleep by his moon goddess lover Selene, quintessentially English bluebells are forever associated with everlasting love. This is one of Lake District artist Stephen Darbishire’s most engaging paintings.
