Ginger
adds a zing with new Lake District bath & body range
Grasmere
Gingerbread and Pure Lakes Skin Care collaborate to
launch new skin care range
A
celebration of Cumbria’s
first female entrepreneur
We’re
thrilled to announce a new business collaboration to
develop a new range of bath & body products using
the traditional medicinal and therapeutic properties
found in Ginger. The new range will be called ‘Sarah’s
Range’,
after our iconic figure Sarah Nelson, Cumbria’s
first female entrepreneur and pioneer of the
world-famous Grasmere Gingerbread.
The
first product is a hand balm, called Sarah Nelson's
Hand Balm for hard working hands. It is made from a luxurious mix of Beeswax,
Coconut and Shea Butter with the addition of ginger and
orange. The product is ideal for day to day use and will
alleviate dry and flaky skin.
It comes in a 55gram glass jar with a metal screw
top lid. The product will be available for sale from 1st
June from either the shop or via our mail order service

undertakes testing of the new cream..
Ginger
has been used for its medicinal and therapeutic
properties for centuries, so we feel it makes sense to
utilise its invigorating natural qualities in a range of
natural skin products.
Developing a new Ginger-based product range has
been very exciting. The experience has been all the
better through working with our dear friend and business
neighbour Sandra Blackburn, owner and founder of
award-winning Pure Lakes Skin Care.
Sandra
Blackburn, founder of Pure Lakes Skin Care commented:
“We
find the story of Sarah Nelson very inspiring and feel
it right and fitting to name a product range after her.
As a raw ingredient, Ginger provides warmth and has
excellent therapeutic properties that could provide some
relief to those suffering from stiffness in the joints.
We’re
thrilled to be able to work with Grasmere Gingerbread on
this project.”

About
Pure Lakes Skin Care
In
2002, Sandra Blackburn started making natural skin care
products for her own use. This ‘hobby’
extended to special concoctions for family and friends
and eventually resulted in a wide range of eco-friendly,
natural toiletries and skin care products being hand
made using sustainably sourced raw materials. These can
now be purchased via their website www.purelakes.co.uk
and in a growing number of shops within the Lake
District.
Please note: Sarah’s range is exclusive to Grasmere Gingerbread® and can only be purchased directly from us.
