The
Grasmere Gingerbread Shop has been fêted with food awards
acknowledging the quality of its unique produce.
Yet
the daily challenge stays the same - to bake the freshest, tastiest
chewy biscuit in the world!
“The
last slice of Grasmere Gingerbread to be sold on any given day has to
be as delicious as the first piece bought by the first customer first
thing in the morning,” insists Joanne Wilson, who manages the shop.
“Keeping
all our customers satisfied is our aim and their accolades mean
everything to us.”
“However,
when the awards from official organisations started coming in everyone
involved in the shop got a real buzz - it was flattering and exciting
at the same time.”
